The Genetic Organisation and Control of Putative Dehalogenase Gene Expression in Bacillus megaterium WSH-002

Dehalogenase-producing bacterium has been extensively studied due to their ability reduce pollution in the environment. A previous study reported that Bacillus megaterium WSH-002 contains a putative haloacid dehalogenase type II gene, therefore, presence of other genes associated with regulatory gene function and uptake halogenated compounds are expected. In whole genome, (DehWSH002) two related were identified suggesting its control expression dehalogenase(s) into cells. The phylogenetic analysis showed DehWSH002 shared common features DehLBHS1 strain BHS1 Had protein ATCC12872/QMB1551. concluded genome designated as dehWSH002 is useful for biodegradation. addition, further investigation adjacent suggested (dehR) an (dehP) single genetic organisation.
